“Make its bowls, ladles, jars and pitchers with which to offer libations; make them of pure gold.”
Kasva means “a jar or pitcher”. The word appears in the Torah exactly once, where it describes the solid-gold vessels made to hold sacrificial wine and oil in the Tabernacle the Israelites carried with them in their desert wanderings.
We believe that a good book is a vessel for the fluid thoughts of its author — its words, the outpouring of the writer’s soul, as precious as the sanctified wine and oil of the Tabernacle.
It is our aim to provide worthy vessels for our authors’ creations.
We are a family-owned publisher based in Alfe Menashe Israel, with a U.S. Headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. Kasva Press is a member of IBPA – the Independent Book Publishers Association. We publish from two to five books each year. Our authors write about Jewish issues, women’s rights, and minority interests. They come from all over the world and from all races and religions. We believe that a book transmits more than information; it is a means to extend human memory from the distant past into the foreseeable future. As such we take pride in the memories that we hand on to future generations.
