Disengagement by Daniella Levy is first work of quality literary fiction to address the personal and social impact of Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Kasva Press asked Daniella to tell us more about how Disengagement came into being.

KasvaPress is a family-owned publisher based in Alfe Menashe Israel, with a U.S. Headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. We publish from 2-5 books each year. Our authors write about Jewish issues, women’s rights, and minority interests. They come from all over the world and from all races and religions.

We believe that a book transmits more than information; it is a means to extend human memory from the distant past into the foreseeable future. As such we take pride in the memories that we hand on to future generations.
